Tree Festival: Forest School taster session

The programme for the 2026 Tree Festival – a celebration of trees in Sussex – has been revealed.

This year's festival includes a Forest School taster session on the Steyning Downland Scheme. 

Jen and Beth, both qualified Forest School leaders, will lead a variety of activities including fire lighting, cooking and creative craft. This event, which is for young people only, takes place from 2pm to 4pm on Friday, 29 May. 

The Tree Festival 2026 is organised by CPRE Sussex, the countryside charity, volunteers and local groups.

The main events programme starts on 23 May and runs until 7 June.
