Kids' Archaeological Dig!

An opportunity for young people aged 6-12 to join an archaeological excavation on Steyning Rifle Range. Led by SDS volunteer Justin Russell, a qualified archaeologist with specialist knowledge of rifle ranges. All budding junior archaeologists must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We will be using hand-held metal detectors to recover finds in excavated soil. As well as being great fun, the objects found will help us learn more about how the Rifle Range was used over the years.
